Alfredo Martínez Ponce

Born in 1965 in Choluteca, Honduras. This artist is self -taught. Ponce has participated in various exhibitions throughout Central America, and his work forms part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Latin American Art (MoLAA) in Long Beach, California.

Ponce's work has been decribed as a bridge between the intelligible; what is capable of being understood, and the sensible; what is capable of being perceived by the senses. His use of mirrors and superimposed images transport the human figures reflected in a spiral of juxtaposed time and motion.
